The BIG 30!

As many of you may or may not know, I just celebrated my 30th birthday! To celebrate my mom treated my sister, Abby, and me to a day at the spa! We got pedicures, facials, and massages. The pedicure was nice, nothing better than someone rubbing your feet! Next came the massage. The woman was a toothpick but as strong as an ox. I don't know how anyone can sleep through that, it HURT! I am suffering the consequences today, bruised bones! The lady that did my facial says I have rosacia! She says I can't eat hot food, or cold food, caffeine, spicy foods, soda, or put ice in my drinks! She says I can't be in hot weather or cold weather, and that I cannot be in the sun again! I think I will just put up with a red face!!! After our spa treatment we went to dinner to a very nice Italian restaurant, I had some cheese filled tortellini, and of course a molten flourless chocolate cake, with mint chocolate chip gelato!

All in all we had a great day!

Audrey on the Strip!

Audrey has been begging to go to the "castle." The last few days have been rainy and cold and we finally had a break in the weather and headed toward the strip. We started off seeing the lions at the MGM Grand. There were three female lions and Audrey was mesmorized! We then worked our way toward the M & M store. We got to see Kyle Busch's NASCAR and towers and towers of M & M's. I think I bought the world's most expensive candies. BEWARE!!! If you want to make your own rainbow of M & M's it costs $11.50 a pound! After spending Audrey's inheritance at the M & M store we walked over to the tram between Excalibur and Luxor. We rode the tram, over and over and over! Who knew that one of the only "free" things left in Las Vegas was going to be Audrey's favorite! We had a famous Nathan's hotdog then went to see the Titanic exhibit. That was really neat! We got to take a picture on the infamous staircase into the grand ballroom. It is amazing how many artifacts have survived so deep in the salt water. They even have a large piece of the ship on display. After that we walked a little and went into a gourmet chocolate shop. We have a very delicious cup of hot chocolate and Audrey had some ice cream. Finally our day was beginning to come to an end. We got back on the tram and rode it over and over and over again until finally taking the much anticipated tour of the Excalibur! Audrey got to meet her dear friend Spongebob! Audrey was sad to go, but her eyelids were getting heavy and we knew it was time. All in all we had a great day on the strip!
